70th anniversary of MAF pilot Nate Saint’s death
When MAF pilot Nate Saint and his four passengers were tragically speared to death by the Waodani people on 8 January 1956 in the Ecuadorian rainforest, the world recoiled in horror. 70 years later, the legacy of their martyrdom continues to fuel MAF’s mission today… (more…)

60 years in Chad – MAF fights 1985 famine
In MAF Chad’s 60th year, we revisit a pivotal moment. Following poor rainfall in the 1980s and failing rice crops, a famine was about to engulf the people of Chad.  Thousands of people had already left their homes in search of food. Unless urgent action was taken, 30,000 villagers who MAF served would die of starvation… (more…)

MAF’s Cessna Caravan fleet becomes carbon neutral
As COP 30’s climate talks draw to a close, MAF has announced its commitment to offset carbon emissions from its 31 Cessna Caravans. MAF’s offsets will fund a cookstove project in Madagascar in partnership with aircraft manufacturer Textron Aviation and 4AIR, which offers aviation sustainability solutions… (more…)
