Mission Possible: Reaching the isolated

The Mission Aviation Academy exists to equip, train, and develop skilled Christian aviation professionals for service in mission and humanitarian contexts around the world. Bringing together all of MAF UK’s training pathways, the Academy provides a clear and supported journey for pilots and engineers—from initial interest through to overseas deployment.

Its purpose is to prepare individuals not only with technical excellence, but with the spiritual foundation, resilience, and cross-cultural awareness needed to serve in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.

Who we are

Over 80 years of mission aviation behind you

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is the world’s largest humanitarian air operator. For over 80 years, we have been flying light aircraft over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts. We enable more than 1,500 aid, development and mission organisations to bring medical care, emergency relief and long-term development.

Our pilots and personnel deliver relief workers, doctors, pastors, school books, food, medicines – everything that can only be safely and speedily delivered by air.

There is nothing like it. Both challenging and rewarding. Affirms your strengths but also stretches and pushes you beyond your limits. Be it flight training to ministry partnership, each individual is guaranteed to find different barriers to overcome but also wonderfully see the plenty of ways God can move in your life and the lives of others.
