I long to see the great multitude standing before the throne in robes of white, from every nation, tribe and tongue. Growing up as a missionary kid in Turkey helped cause this desire to take root in my heart. I’ve also been fascinated by flying and aircraft since childhood. The possibility of combining these two loves through the ministry of MAF seems too good to be true, but isn’t that just the kind of God we serve? What excites me even more is that the picture of worshippers around God’s throne from Revelation 7:9 isn’t just a longing or a far off dream but a reality soon to be true. The opportunity to be a small part in speeding the coming of this day and realising this eternal purpose is such an incredible privilege only made possible through Jesus’ sacrifice. I see flying aid into remote locations, evacuating people in need of urgent medical attention and transporting missionaries carrying this lifesaving message as a calling close to the heart of God.

While living in London I’ve had the privilege of working closely with several missional Christian cafes and during this time studied for my Private Pilots Licence. In 2023 I felt God opening the door to pursuing missions and joined a YWAM discipleship school at the beginning of 2024. On my return I applied for MAF’s Future Pilot Programme and will begin training in August. The next few years are vital in ensuring I am trained to MAF’s standards of flying with skills essential for the challenging environments faced overseas.
