Being fortunate enough to grow up in a Christian household I always knew ‘of’ God but never really made my own personal decision to follow him until my late teens after a youth service at my local church. Though I had my own dreams of becoming a pilot at the time, it wasn’t soon after that decision before I felt drawn and convicted into some sort of ministry, to be used by God in any way to advance his kingdom.

Inspired by the great commission, a conviction in my heart started to grow for those unreached across the nations where, unlike me, they have no local church community accessible, no access to single page of the bible, no real opportunity to get to know a God.

One Sunday morning, a youth leader whom I had discussed my thoughts with, handed me a MAF Future Pilot Program brochure and proceeded in describing how this could be a real calling for me. At the time I couldn’t believe it, that there would be something so fitting as to incorporate both my own interests in aviation but more importantly, serving and reaching the unreached.

MAF’s vision of ‘seeing isolated people changed by the love of Christ’ was clear to me and something I wanted to be a part of (and I hope you as well in either prayer, giving or even joining the team!).

For me, it’s more than just supplying humanitarian aid; it’s pointing the unreached towards God. How blessed are we that God would want to partner with us in that mission (1 Corinthians 3:8-9) so that we may also partake in the joy in witnessing others being saved, receiving help, hope and healing?

Would you prayerfully consider joining their support team?
