MAF ARE FLYING FOR LIFE

We want to share with you more inspirational stories of healing and life-saving treatment which has only been possible thanks to MAF’s air transport.

For over 75 years, MAF has been flying over jungles, mountains, rivers and deserts to help isolated people in hard-to-reach places. Every six minutes, an MAF plane is taking-off or landing somewhere in the world, bringing hope to thousands of people.

We believe that everyone should have access to the essentials of life: food, water, shelter, education and healthcare. Your gifts can help keep MAF flying for life, so we can continue providing vital medevacs to the people who need them most.

Bendito and Nepao below, are just two examples of why YOUR help is hugely valuable to our mission.

Bendito – Timor-Leste

After suffering from a severe case of Dengue fever, MAF medevaced six-year-old Bendito to hospital for life-saving care.

His mother describes the day, ‘Before the arrival of the MAF’s plane, I felt very sad, but when the plane arrived, I felt very happy because our child would be able to get treatment.’

Nepao – Papua New Guinea

It’s a miracle Nepao is alive! While cutting wood under his house in remote PNG, stilts holding up his home gave way on top of him. Large fireplace stones fell from the floor above onto his chest and a beam broke his leg.

A health worker raised the alarm — an MAF aircraft arrived swiftly.

The 12-minute medevac saved his life. Nepao responds ‘May God bless their hands’.
