Co-Pilot Launch Event 12/10/2024

On Saturday the 12th of October, Co-Pilot launched at our event at YWAM Harpenden.

It was a day filled with speakers, food, pilots and engineers, workshops, worship, more food, prayer spaces, flight simulators, more food and of course friendship.
We were thrilled to have many of you make the journey along and loved how much you contributed to making the day what it was.

If you didn’t make the event, don’t worry, Co-Pilot has only just begun and there are many more adventures coming.

James and Danielle Gullet

Meet James, our first graduate of the Pilot Trainee Scheme.

James was part of MAF Youth before he applied to train to become a pilot with MAF.

In January 2024 he completed his training course and is now, alongside his wife Danielle, serving in Arnhem Land, Australia where he will be helping reach remote indigenous communities scattered across that land.

Before going to Arnhem Land, James will be in Cairns where he will have to complete his Australian Commercial Flying License and do ‘standardisation’, a training course on the Airvan he will fly in the programme.

How to pray for them:

  • Praise God for all that has happened to get them on their way to Arnhem
    Land.
  • Pray that James will be well prepared for exams he has to take for his
    licence in Australia.
  • As always, pray for the people of Arnhem Land, and James and Danielle’s hearts as
they prepare to connect with them.

MATC Trip Netherlands

Over the summer a small group of young people went on a fantastic trip to the Netherlands. The trip was an opportunity for them to explore a career with MAF further and was developed in collaboration with MAF’s flight training school in the Netherlands.

It was a tailored programme, where young people got to chat with MAF staff working in the mission field and with those currently undergoing training. It was an amazing opportunity for them to test their skills, develop their experience, and ask any questions about advancing their career with MAF.

All in all, a fantastic time was had and those who went on the trip came away feeling excited about their possible future career opportunities with MAF.

If this is something you would like to be part of , keep an eye on our website for 2025 dates.
