Between the ages of 4 and 10, I grew up on a mission station in Malawi, East Africa which has shaped my Christian walk and placed a desire to work in mission on my life.

Reading ‘New Jungle, Same Old Monkeys’ by Annie Lawson opened up the possibility of aircraft engineering as a career possibility for me at a time when I was seeking God’s guidance in where to serve him. I found the advert for the engineering training scheme on the MAF Youth (now Copilot) page and began engaging in talks with MAF.

I also became involved with MAF Youth, helping as part of the group that edited their magazine and went on the Copilot trip to MATC in the Netherlands which really confirmed for me that this was where God was leading me. I will start my training at UHI Perth in September.
