Meet Jackford

Jackford, a young boy from Papua New Guinea, is one of the many children who keep an ear out for the sound of an MAF aircraft engine flying through the sky – the sound of hope. In a poem he wrote, Jackford speaks on the impact MAF has made to his community.

‘Aeroplane, aeroplane,

I praise you for bringing my food,

Bringing my clothes,

And carrying my people.’

Today, will you remember children like Jackford? Will you enable our planes to reach the remote corners of the world?

Will you be their sound of hope?

The world’s largest humanitarian air operator

For 80 years, Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) have been the sound of hope.

Flying aircraft to the most remote corners of the world and overcoming jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts, they bring medical care, emergency relief, long-term development, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Every five minutes, an MAF plane takes off or lands in over 1,000 of the world’s isolated communities.

Bring them hope

Every donation, no matter the size, helps get our planes off the ground and to where they’re needed most.

School was never an option for them, but MAF changed that

Jackford had hope that MAF would come with much-needed support for his remote community. But for the small family in Papua, Indonesia, their hope was wavering. The dream for their daughter to get a proper education was just that…a dream.

That is until they heard the low rumble of an MAF aircraft engine in the sky.

‘Aeroplane, aeroplane who are you?
You’re like a big bird in the sky,
You make a loud noise when you fly.’

Be the reason more isolated children like Jackford hear our planes.
Be their hope.
