David and Jude Bebb

We all have received blessings from God. We all have our unique skills, experiences and gifts. And no doubt, we are all using many of these every day, whether that is teaching and raising children at home, leading teams online or treating the sick. Whatever we’re doing, wherever we are, we’re all called to love and serve others.

For us, the road is now taking our family to South Sudan. We’re excited to be moving to officially the world’s youngest country, learning from its deep history, heritage and culture. Since gaining independence from Sudan in 2011, South Sudan has confronted a number of challenges including environmental shocks, food insecurity and conflict, leading to the displacement of populations. MAF’s team in South Sudan have been doing an amazing job in responding to these challenges, working with partner agencies and local churches to enable them to reach those who are most vulnerable. We’re eager to use our skills to support this great work of our South Sundanese colleagues and contribute to wider life in Juba.

Jude has over 20 years experience as a Physiotherapist whilst David has been working with Tearfund for the last nine years with a focus on responding to humanitarian crises. We met at All Nations Christian College in 2011 and we were also previously involved in community development and interfaith initiatives in Birmingham between 2012-2016. Completing the family is Sophia, 8, Nathaniel, 4, and Naomi, 9 months.
