Come and hear MAF staff and guest speakers talk about what inspired them to serve overseas with MAF

At MAF, we believe nothing should stop people from receiving the love of God and the essentials of life – no matter how remote they are. Our vision is ‘to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ.’ We use aviation and technology, because in many places those are the only ways to reach isolated people in need.

You are Invited

This is an in person event for those who may be interested in serving with MAF overseas.

Whether you are a pilot, engineer, teacher, accountant, or a manager we are excited to invite you to join us.  Whether you have just started thinking about service overseas or you’ve had mission on your mind for a while we would love to meet you in person!

Guest Speaker

Joe Knighton – MAF Senior Flight Instructor

Joe grew up in South Wales, dreaming of a career in the RAF, but his life took a dramatic turn in 1998 when a road accident during his first year at Loughborough University left him facing the possibility of never walking again. Despite the physical and emotional challenges, Joe’s determination to reclaim his life led him to earn a private pilot license in 1999 and qualify as a commercial pilot in 2004, defying all expectations.

After a break from flying and meeting his wife Emma in Bristol, Joe returned to aviation as a flight instructor in 2011. In 2015, they began working with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), initially bound for Papua New Guinea but ultimately settling in Northern Australia, where Joe now trains new pilots. Emma, now an Anaesthetist in Queensland, and Joe are both committed to using their skills to serve others and the Lord who sent them.

It’s more about God making things possible that are impossible – reminding you that He is in control.’
